Skills Support for the Workforce

Aylesbury College is offering fully-funded courses to local employers to help upskill your workforce.  We can work with you to develop a bespoke training programme relevant to your needs, and because this programme is co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and the Skills Funding Agency (SFA), you can support your workforce at no extra cost to your business.

What Training is available?

  • Training can be tailored to the needs of your business and there are two categories of training available:
  • Basic Skills – including English language, literacy and numeracy skills and vocationally relevant qualifications.
  • Intermediate and Higher Skills – including training in leadership, management and a variety of intermediate and higher level vocationally relevant training courses.

Selling Products or Services over the Telephone

This course is intended to help the learner identify, develop and close sales over the phone.

The course includes

  • identifying your customer’s buying requirements

IOSH Working Safety – General Eisks for Rural Practitioners

The purpose of this course is to deliver an overview of H&S responsibilities to  all employees who manage rural related sites, including site based managers and land agents.

To raise awareness of the types of accidents/incidents that could potentially occur on site, as well as encouraging all employees to be proactive with regard to reducing the likelihood of such events occurring in the future.

Personal Licencing

BIIAB Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH)

This 1 day, classroom  based course is for those currently working, or seeking work, as the person responsible for selling, or authorising the sale of alcohol, in licenced premises or other venues where alcohol is sold for consumption on or off the premises.

Achievement of this qualification is a pre-requisite of applying for a Personal Licence, which enables you to operate both legally and responsibly.

Electrical

17th Edtion Wiring Regulations – City & Guilds 2382-12

Level 3 Certificate in the Requirements for Electrical Installations – BS 7971:2008 (Amendment 2 2011)

This course is designed to give the candidate a working knowledge of the wiring regulations and includes a brief overview of the electricity at work regulations, explaining the statutory duties imposed on competent persons.
